Meet Ruth

Award winning Pilates teacher with a deep-rooted dance background and passion for movement, Ruth considers herself extremely fortunate to have spent her career passing her knowledge on to others.

From choreographing many dance and theatre productions, to securing several performance awards as Head of Dance at Mayville High School, Ruth loved bringing out the best in all students and this is at the heart of everything she believes in.

An intuitive nurturer, Ruth has also worked extensively supporting children through emotionally challenging times, encouraging trauma release through powerful art movement therapy.

In 2005, following various therapies and treatments, she was advised by her consultant that her right shoulder was severely frozen, full mobility was unlikely to return. Of course, this was not going to deter Ruth. Instead of giving in to the diagnosis, she decided to practice Pilates daily with particular focus on release and strengthening the thoracic spine, rotator cuff and shoulders.

Over time, these exercises thawed and eventually healed her painfully restricted shoulder, full mobility and strength returned. This journey back to mobility and her previous experience in dance and movement, led to the decision to train as a Pilates teacher in 2008.

Ruth has never looked back…

Fully committed to delivering the most up to date and informed Pilates tuition. She has been inspired by many life-changing Franklin Method trainings and workshops. Ruth travelled across the pond to progress her Advanced Pilates knowledge to study with the renowned Kelly Kane in New York.

Ruth’s mission is to inspire others by sharing her lifelong experience and knowledge, offering a unique pilates experience. She believes if you
invest in your healthy future, your ageless body and spine will feel eternally grateful.
