Our Pilates class with Ruth is our weekly highlight. She has the ability to take away the stresses of the day with her calming voice and gentle encouragement. She knows each of us, and our various limitations, so well that she manages to make each exercise accessible to all by altering them if necessary. Our whole bodies feel healthier and more supple due to Ruth’s magic; she has taught us the building blocks for exercises that can be done anywhere when our backs are suffering.

Online classes during lockdown have been a godsend and kept some normality to our lives.

I have taken part in Ruth’s classes for some years, they have now become part of my life. They are friendly, fun & non-competitive providing a whole body workout. Ruth is very aware of each person’s limitations and any physical problems, mindful of working well within their boundaries, whilst pushing others to their full potential.

Ruth is always ready to listen and adapt the class to any particular requests or problems. I enjoy the fact all the muscle groups are worked, even if I know about it the following day! It is only when I’ve missed a couple of classes the realization of its effectiveness is apparent. My son asked me when I first joined what I hoped to achieve, my reply “I want to physically do this year what I was able to do last year”. Thanks to Ruth, so far I’ve achieved it & had fun in the process!

I have been doing Pilates for 20 years now. I’m 75 this year, and the older I get, the more I enjoy attending Ruth’s classes. I started with one class a week, I now do three classes a week. Ruth has transformed my whole outlook in life, understanding the body and feeling positive.  My lung function has greatly improved, as well as my general regard to healthcare.  As an arthritis sufferer, I have found Pilates massively improves my flexibility, which in turn relieves my symptoms.

I have been doing Pilates with Ruth Waldron for the last 2 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and will continue on Zoom or in studio with a group, twice a week.  I find the classes really suits my needs (I’m 60 years old) physically and mentally.  Ruth always offers alternative exercises for those who can’t do some exercises due to ailments, which is so helpful.  I feel really relaxed and well after each class. Especially during the pandemic Ruth is always very welcoming and creates a feel good class.  Ruth is very professional. I can only praise her and will carry on with her classes as long as I can.
